The Rondot Group has recently completed a significant acquisition, taking over UK-based Pennine Industrial Equipment, a leader in glass conveyor chain and sprocket technology. This acquisition not only encompasses Pennine Industrial Equipment but also includes Pennine Prostamp and Pennine Industrial Holdings, broadening Rondot Group’s portfolio in the industrial sector.

Pennine Industrial Equipment will continue to operate out of its Huddersfield manufacturing site, maintaining its production and distribution of a full range of chains, sprockets, plastic extrusions, and plastic machined components. The acquisition is set to leverage Pennine’s established infrastructure, including its dedicated sales and support team, ensuring that the high level of service its customers in the UK and worldwide have come to expect remains unchanged.

Graham Womersley of Pennine expressed enthusiasm about the new ownership, stating, “Joining the French-owned Rondot Group opens up a new world of possibilities.” He highlighted the benefits of connecting with Rondot’s extensive international network, which includes major partners and subsidiaries across various sectors. This integration is seen as a pivotal move that will bring numerous advantages to Pennine, enhancing its capabilities and reach.

Having operated independently for 56 years, Pennine Industrial now embarks on a new chapter under the Rondot Group umbrella. This transition is expected to inject a renewed sense of ambition and passion into the company, driving it towards sustainable innovation and growth. The future looks promising for Pennine as it aims to strengthen its market position and expand its technological offerings within the global Rondot family, illustrating a classic case of strategic expansion through acquisition in the machine building industry.
