Emerson Introduces New AVENTICS Series 625 Sentronic Proportional Pressure Control Valves

May 13, 2024 | Featured

Emerson has unveiled the latest addition to its lineup, the AVENTICS Series 625 Sentronic Proportional Pressure Control Valves, offering unprecedented precision in pneumatic control systems. These new valves boast a control deviation of less than 0.5%, ensuring superior accuracy for applications requiring meticulous pressure adjustments.

Nicolas Jacquet, Director of Product Management at Emerson’s Discrete Automation Business, emphasized the significance of these valves in high-precision contexts such as flame cutting and laser eye surgery, where control and accuracy are paramount. “The Series 625 Sentronic valves are designed to meticulously manage variables such as pressure, flow rate, power, speed, distance, and angular positions, making them indispensable in sophisticated factory automation settings,” Jacquet stated.

This series is available in four valve sizes ranging from 1mm to 20mm, supporting flow rates from 55 liters per minute up to 4,700 l/min, and capable of handling pressures from vacuum levels up to 50 bar. This versatility reduces the need for multiple valves in complex machine designs. The valves are offered in brass, aluminum, or stainless steel housings, with sealing options including nitrile (NBR) and fluoroelastomer (FKM). Connectivity is facilitated through three types of connectors: M12 5-pin, M12 8-pin, and M16 7-pin.

Incorporating Data acquisition software (DaS), these valves enhance operational efficiency by enabling rapid startup, real-time monitoring, and direct PC control. The software supports advanced functions such as diagnostics, individual configuration, and cascade control for applications demanding high precision and complex control loops. Additional features include monitoring of input pressure, commanded pressure, internal temperature, and ethernet communication, further underscoring the valves’ adaptability and utility in dynamic manufacturing environments where time and accuracy are critical.
